HARDWARE MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION
was Established in 1961.
The Association was granted License No. 64 by
the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan on
8-5-1961. The
Association was also recognized as an “A” class
association and incorporated with the Registrar of
Joint Stock Companies, Karachi vide Certificate of
Incorporation Kar No. 1054 of the 1961 dated 18-9-1961
and affiliated with the Federation of Pakistan
Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Karachi.
The Association comprises of Head Office at
Karachi and two Circle offices i.e. Sindh and
Baluchistan Circle and Punjab and NWFP with its
offices at Karachi and Lahore respectively.
In this way the net-working of the association
is spread all over the country.
It
is also added that the major part of import and export
of the country is carried out by the members of this
association which ultimately has good effects on the
economy of the country and
plays a vital and pivotal role in its
development.
The
main aim and object of the Association are :-
- to protect and promote the
interest of all persons dealing
in Non-Ferrous Metals, Hardware, Tools,
Machinery, Mill Gin Stores, and allied items.
- to protect and promote the trade
and to secure cooperation among merchants in
general and those dealing in these lines in
particular.
- To make representations to the
Government or other authorities for and on
behalf of members in matters affecting commerce
in general and these trades in particulars.
- to render to government or other
authorities such assistance, information and
advice as may enable them to promote trade and
commerce.
- to establish and maintain
Information Bureau, to print and publish
journals, periodicals, newspapers, books, pamphlets,
leaflets, directories etc. and to establish and
maintain library and reading rooms for the
promotion of the objects of the Association.
- to affiliate with any national
or international trade organizations having
objects altogether or in part similar to those
of this Association for the purpose of security
the aims and objects of this association,
provided the Association shall not be affiliated
with any International or Foreign body with out
the prior permission of Government.
- To run sections or departments
including those relating to exports, imports,
statistics, publicity, and publications as may
be thought necessary or expedient.
- To impart research and
development work in the relevant fields, etc.
With
the blessing of Almighty Allah the association since
its inception has been assisting its members all over
the country in their trade affairs specifically in
matters relating to impediments they face because of
complex Government Policies.
We
are proud to declare that the Executive body of the
association has always been comprised of
well experience members from the business
community who are well versed with the problems of
traders. They
always prefer to solve the problems of their trade
fellow instead of their own business. Due to to efforts of these dedicated person the association
pledge stand for its members, for their success in
trade and ultimate good of mother land.
We
pray from Almighty Allah to keep us all blessed with the light
of awareness of good and bad and always guide us as
all our efforts are constructive and full of good-will
for all without any element of prejudice and malice.
